Reiki is a non-invasive, simple, yet utterly profound relaxation, wellness and healing modality. All ‘dis-ease’ shows up first in the energy body and it is at this level that the healing takes place. My attunements to the symbols make my channelling of Reiki energy abundant and powerful. It is up to your bodymind wisdom to direct the Reiki where it is needed.

I have a comfortable home treatment room upstairs, but can easily move my couch to the ground floor if stairs are a problem...just let me know on the online booking form. Or I can come to you. If you like, I can also carry out the healing session remotely, whilst you relax at home.

Whichever you choose, our first session will be slightly longer so we can discuss what you’d like to get from our sessions and we can go over your intake form. You can complete the intake form when you book online, which will save us some time on the day.

I gained my Level 3 Diploma in Reflexology in 2016, specialist Maternity and Fertility qualifications in 2017, and worked in my local Age Concern centre treating older feet three mornings a week for a year. My working thumb joint has lost power following the growth of a very common hand condition, so I took that as a sign from my guides and guardians that it was time to work energetically, in a way that I had learned from an old country healer many years ago.

I still offer one-off Maternity appointments as a relaxation before the start of labour…sometimes the reduction in stress hormones for the duration of the appointment is enough to allow the body to produce enough of the labour hormones it needs to get started.

I revisited my initial traditional Usui Reiki training, gaining my Practitioner and Teacher levels in 2022, further study and initiations in Violet Flame, and Crystal Reiki, and am currently studying to Level 2 Practitioner level Tera Mai Reiki, learning to move stale energies away from the body and work in the more subtle areas of the energy body.

I originally trained as a general nurse in the NHS, and have a long history of working with women, mothers, parents and families in pregnancy, birth and postpartum, both independently and through the NHS. I am a trained birth and postnatal doula and breastfeeding counsellor and I find that Reiki is the perfect modality for these sensitive, expansive times.

You can sit in my Lafuma chair, or lie on the massage couch, fully clothed for the treatment. I will have soft music playing and you will be comfortable with a light throw to cover you and an eye mask if you wish. You will hear me moving around the couch, sometimes using my Tingsha Bells and wind chime, but you will be in a state of calm relaxation for the duration of the session.

With your permission, I touch the sides and back of your head, your shoulders, knees and feet, but the majority of the treatment is carried out in your subtle energy fields.

My hands remain between 4 and 18 inches away from your body during the rest of the treatment, or I can of course, be completely hands-off if this is better for you.

Some of my Reiki clients like the use of tarot or oracle cards for direction and focus, and we can absolutely incorporate this into any session. I offer more detailed readings by email, too, as a separate booking. Everything is on the scheduling page.

I think of this quote often as I reach for my Tarot. Even if I haven’t much time, interacting with the cards feels to me like floating into a different plane of existence. Spending time with these archetypes in their world offers to me, at the very least, some respite from the challenges of this world, even if I haven’t approached the Tarot with a question in mind.

Tarot is unique as a system of divination, because it manifests in such a proliferation of different visual expressions of the same 78 keys. There are even more decks where the keys differ in meaning and number, and in addition to this, oracle decks and the like, although I enjoy Tarot the most.

There are no rules. No one person or corporation ‘owns’ the Tarot. The Tarot is yours and mine. Even the little booklet which comes with a deck is only a guide of suggestions which we are free to ignore. For me this explains the reason that Tarot has been either ridiculed or tabooed over the years. No-one owns it, and yet we can all step into our power and freedom through the doors of those little cards, anytime, any place.

• I don’t tell you what is going to happen. If I could do that, I’d have the lottery numbers and I’d be riding a motorcycle across the Californian desert right now! Tarot is like me holding up a mirror for you to see the hidden resources you have available to you.

• Your free will and your own judgement and decisions are far more important than anything I can tell you.

• I reserve the right to reschedule our reading if my energies are low…I want to give you the best of me.
